@Hamada : Duck farming single-digit master Kusal Perera to Open again?
Are you crazy ?

Kusal Perera's single-digit world record : 30 odis - 105 runs - 3.88 Av - 51 SR- 9 HS

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/...

Look at the reality. After playing 70 Odis over 3+ yrs, Kusal Perera is still tottering with a pathetic 27 Average & nearly 50% of his innings ended under 10 ball single digits. He was mainly responsible for SL's steady decline in past 3 years.

Look at truly talented new guys like Dickwella (43 Av)/ Mendis (36 Av) / Asela (36 Av). They have all showed their class and potential playing under 20 Odis , if a guy is really talented and has a true potential & ability to do well, you don't have to waste 3+ years, granting regular chances in 70 odis, to doom SL cricket to current state as seen today.

Before blabbering blindly without a clue, please Look at the real batting performers in Odis during past 12 months who did really well at the middle for SL,

@MDKJulius Caesar

Don't lie. Tharanga had played in England, NZ as a opener , but wasn't able convert his starts.

in England (2006) , and scored 10,52,0,0,34,46
with an avg of 23.6.

in NZ(2006) , and scored 33,24,7,20 with an avg of 21.

@RM:

He was talking about the limited Test chances Tharanga got during past 10 year since 2007 (just 16 tests played after 10 years since his recall in 2014) and Upul had batted lower down at No 5,6, 7 or so in all those matches,.

So what MDKJulius Caesar had mentioned here in August 13, 2017 - 18:05. #7 is not a lie... among those16 tests played after his recall in 2014, UT had never got a chance to play a single test against NZ /Eng /Aus/ WI (or Vs SA except as No7 in 2017 series).

Obviously the tests he played as a debutante in 2006 VS NZ or Eng are not within the 10 years that he mentioned here.

Read a post carefully to understand, before accusing others due to a comprehension problem you seems to have mate :)
