fair selection except for omission of Lahiru Milantha

I wonder why Thirimanne was brought back, since he has not played any first class cricket ever since he was dropped from the national team.

Also, I believe some of these under 19 players without any or little first class experience should not be exposed in a hurry.

I've also seen a lot of people writing about Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who once upon a time was considered as a certainty in the national team, when he became the School boy crickerter of the year twice in a row and scored century after century against foreign under 19 and A teams. Well, even I feel he should be considered now and should have been included in the A team, since during the last A team tour to England he was the third highest run getter with some half century scores and captured wickets with his medium pace as well. Easily he was the best performer on that tour. He's also doing well in the MCA matches now. Wonder why he's been sidelined?

Sri Lanka and it's people should know who is at the bottom of it. It is a sin and a crime to deprive such a talented young cricketer of opportunities that he deserves to show his potential.

Angie, Chandi, Sanath, Kalu and other selectors should consider Bhanuka Rajapaksa for the A team, since he's playing beautiful cricket now. I've seen him batting of late in the MCA tournament games and plays like a maestro against some of the big names in the present day Sri Lanka team. He will no doubt be a great asset to Angie, Chandi and the selectors, since he will beef up our shaky middle order and will be a useful part time bowler in the ODI's and T20'and down the order he could perform the big hitting part for us with Thisara.

For ODI's and T20's our line up should be:

1. Dhananjaya,
2. Kusal P,
3. Kusal M,
4. Chandi,
5. Angie,
6. Dikwella,
7. Bhanuka R,
8. Thisara,
9. Dasun,
10. Malinga,
11. Chameera.

If all the above players are fit. Five pace bowlers, spin of Dhananjaya and the part time seamers of Bhanuka. Strong batting line up down to 9.

Do it scientifically & not in a haphazard way.

There are 3 potential slots in the Test team:

1. opener for Dimuth
Who can be tried there? Avishka, Asalanka,Thrimanne,Roshen add Milantha too

2. Slot at No3. Asalanka,Thrimanne,Roshen, Milantha

3. Wicket keeper - KP, Dickwella (Dickwella is a flashy guy, isn't any other option in the pool?).

So put these players in those positions in the A team, no point giving Dickwella opening if he is being tested for KP's position.

The potential Test team is likely to be:

1.Silva 2.one of those above players 3.one of those above players 4.Mendis 5.Chandi 6.Mathews 7.Dhananjaya 8.Anuk F'do ( who can bat a little) 9.Herath 10.Pradeep 11.Chameera (if available)/Lakmal/Kumara.

It is pretty important to have a long batting line in SA.

@Poster#2 It'a a bit difficult for Thirimanne to play first class cricket when there is no first class cricket until another month or so I believe.

Not defending him but it is harsh to say he hasn't played any FC cricket since he was dropped when he didn't really have a chhance (unless he wanted to try and play County Cricket in England).

Poster#3 Lol, I think we tried that "bat deep tactic" and it hasn't worked out. Your team ha no specialist spinner and only two specialist bowlers. Angelo is getting injured a lot more and should cut back on bowling, Thisara is out of form and Shanaka considers himself a batsman more than a bowler (though he can be a handful in helpful conditions).

Lot depends on Kusal Perera & Karunaratne to prove their mettle to selectors for the upcoming tours
