Strike rate of SL batsmen

I can't understand why these Sri Lankan batsmen are trying to achive personal goals like  half centuries, playing with strike rates like 40/50/60 when the team is chasing 300 +  targets.

Interesting point and I too have wondered at time's - what on earth is going on? I guess if they go for the runs and get out we will critisize them of being careless in a large chase. If your chasing 300+ the law averages tells you that your not going to make it with a lower strike rate - which neccessarily means someone down the line has to strike at 140+. The only way this would make sense is to not lose wickets with a plan of hitting out later.

I think it's time to adjust the batting order and chasing strategy when chasing larger targets. Say the pinch hitter tactic up the order.

i think they first eat all power play overs and then try to accelerate after 40 overs at that time we allready loss that match.just look at the difference between gambhir and tharanga.gambir all ways take quik runs but tharanga?and we can see big differance between kholi and sanga's anchoring roles.thats why we loss every time to india.

ghambir plays the anchor role striking 75-80 while other can bat around him and go for big shots.wt our guys do is trying to score 50s with SR of 50/60 on the verge of rebuilding to play the next player can do that the thing i s everybody is going to do dat.
