Dimuth got himself dropped by two zeroes in the A game. Bring Chandragupta (according to how he does in the next A game) or Weerakkody for his place. Keep Silva at present.Keep Chandi only in Tests & see his form. Asela should play definitely. Rest Herath but if he wants to play for match fitness, can't deny him. Look at Pushpakura leaving Dilruwan out. Give rest to Kumara & Lakmal & try Chameera, Asitha F'do, Vikum etc.

@ Suren 1998, what happened to Rangana Hereth. He is not in your test XI. And also D Karunaratne and K Silva should be dropped.

They both are very talented for all three formats. It's speciallly about the positions they bat. D de Silva should be batted @ 1,2,3. in T20 and ODI. Otherwise you will find a better option in another players in the middle order. In test he is most suited to bat in the lower middle order.

K Mendis, he should bat at 3 or 4 in ODI and test. He should be given a permanent position in ODI and test. In T20s, he should be considered as an opening batsman. Otherwise, you can have a another player who brings much better outcome than him in middle order.

T20s are over. I still believe Dimuth will score a 50 in next match and book a place for Bangladesh tour. Ideally, should have been in-form Ron Chandraguptha. Hope he gets a chance. Asela and Dickwella both should play in the test side. Malinda Pushpakumara is the future replacement for Herath. Sandakan still should play in the tests as he is a big turner in our wickets.
Venues declared for the Bangladesh tests should have been P.Sara and Pallekela or may be Dambulla. Bangladesh has good spinners and they will now exploit Galle conditions against us. Remember we are not good against quality spinners these days. We should go with two pacers and two spinners for the tests or 3 pacers with one spinner.

Dude let him play where he comfortable with.. Asela has not faced any quality attack yet.. Zim WI and second third string SA and AUSTRALIA... real deal is the champion trophy

This series win away from home will do them a world of good when the play Bangladesh soon. Hope Mathews comes back by then. Im interested to see teams for all formats but most importantly for Tests. With Karunaratne currently failing in the A team, we may see him dropped. Kaushal Silva most likely will stay but i would like to see him dropped eventually. We found great openers now for ODI and T20 with Dickwella and Tharanga now I'd like to see that in Tests. Maybe Dickwella can open in Test matches??

Kusal Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva should focus on Test ans T20. Not sure whether De Silva will have a chance in Bangladesh test series but lets see. We should be able to beat Bangladesh in all formats. It will be interesting to see what SL does with the test XI because Dimuth Karunaratne has been in very poor form, even in the A team. I think Dickwella should be given the chance to play in Tests and perhaps open. Pushpakumara should definitely have a call up.

For Test
Niroshan Dickwella
Kaushal Silva
Kusal Mendis
Dinesh Chandimal
Angelo Mathews
Asela Gunaratne
Dilruwan Perera
Malinda Pushpakumara
Lakshan Sandakan
Lahiru Kumara
Suranga Lakmal

If Dinesh Chandimal is still out of form then Gunaratne should take number 4 position in both Tests and ODI. Interesting to see what will SLC do with players like Gunathilaka, Vikum Sanjaya, Amila Aponso, Vandersay, Weerakkody. I would like to eventually see Kaushal Silva dropped from Tests and replaced by maybe Lahiru Milantha.

Agree with all. Never seen an innings like this recently from Sri Lankan player. Another player brought by Kapila Wijegunawardhena just before the T20 world cup. As soon as new selection committee came he was left out with the Dickwella, Dhananjaya, Shanaka and Vandersay.
It was a mistake to drop Sandakan for Mendis. Why would anyone replace the best spinner on the side with out of form batsman? It should have been Sanjaya for Shanka. (Not that Sanjaya bowled badly). This team is very good for the future. Tharanga needs to play his game rather than playing like Dickwella. I think the Gunaratne-Kapu Partnership brought us closer even though Kupu was not that fluent in his innings.

Other...

I don't identify both of them as T20 capable players, especially Dhananjaya de Silva.

Both of them are more suited to play ODIs and Test Cricket.
