Then it is time to stand up. Enough is enough.

Are we true lions? Do we love our country and our cricket? Then it is time to stand up. What we are witnessing is Lankan cricket at its pathetic waste, and truly I can't remember such pathetic display since we started playing test cricket.

It is time to stand up as a forum and demand immediate changes. Sanga's Cowdrey plea fell on deaf years and did not count. Lets use this forum to demand changes. Are you in?

1) Politics and corruption must go. Ministers, MP's and sons need to stay out.

2) Democratically elected, and non staged administration.

3) Transparency and accountability when it comes to finances and administration.

4) Players need to be paid on time. Cricket is a professional game now, and that is why the standards and expectations keep going up.

5) Is the mid level administration the right one. The coaches, and the batting coach and the Capt need to be called out. A great and classy batsman is not necessarily a good coach, does he tinker too much with individual styles, knowing that he himself is a classical stylist. As far as the captain is concerned this man cannot captain or motivate.

6) All of the above needs to be fixed before we move in the team. Quite simply we need to play our best team, irrespective of the situation. However talented one may they do not play unless they perform, and past laurels and achievements should matter very little. So, Dilshan, Mahela, Samare, and Parane need to show cause or be asked to quit.

7) Part of the reason for the slump is that we lost major team defining champions such as Murali, Vaasy and Sana in the past few years. Players cannot play forever, and there needs be a clear investment and risk in exposing youngsters to top level cricket when the seniors are around.

I'm in! I want to see things

I'm in! I want to see things change! What do we do? Should create a petition with all of the above points and ask people to sign it and send to SLC!

@dhanuddara: Just post this

@dhanuddara: Just post this on FB. Its easy for pages on FB to be reported and deleted by people who don't like the idea. On island cricket it will remain.

Something must change

Agreed. Corruption must be removed from the administration of the game.

At the same time, players must perform.

Agreed that a Facebook group and a petition delivered to SLC would be a good place to start.

Hope and pray.

We definitely need to eradicate corruption from the SLC, but again i am worried that the petition itself may fall on deaf ears too.

Valuable comments which i

Valuable comments which i totally agree.I have brought up all and more points since 2 yers ago. FB is ideal but where in FB shud i comment? I am all for journos to collectively attack political intererence. We the fans too but where in FB shud comments be as I am not too familiar with FB.

The AGM is a stage act and I see Warnaweera in th limelight. Duleep and selectos must go.Sanath shud be kept a mile away from SLC hdqtrs.
All expatriates are fed up and mny hav lost interest and I too will forget SLcricket if I can smell political interference.

Count me in !

I am in too. How about suggesting some names for contestants ? The problem is that there is hardly any time and the clubs have to vote the people in.
