@Stormy,

According to your plan, are you looking towards a draw?
How are we going to take 20 wickets? by using spinners, against India?

We need someone with a brain in our team selection committee, looks like for a second time they'll go with spin bowlers and medium pacers.

They are going to get spanked the day light out of them.

Only thing proved during the last match was that Indian batting line up can be shaken up by pace bowling, not by spinners.

This is such a simple equation, even on our best batting performance we can't even imagine to close down a target set by an average Indian batting performance.

So how on earth we are going to win by planning one guy getting a century, we need a double or triple centurion to close down something India would set up.

The only way to have any hope is to have your best pace attack on the field, three quicks, one medium pacer, and Hera.

Another test, another home humiliation!

It continues, the list of "first time ever or first time in ages" for example, the first time ever India have beaten SL by innings at home! First time ever an Indian team has scored 600 in consecutive tests. Pretty scary when you think of who toured before, Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Lax and Sewag with Harbajan, Kumble and Zaheer couldn't beat us!! Even if you go back to say the 80's, Gavaskar, Vensakar, Srikanth, Kapil Dev still couldnt bear Mendis, Dias, Ratnayeke, DS, DE Mel. Its different now, we are not just losing, we are not competing. It's two very different issues and don't distracted by the great second innings showing. 600 plays 183 in the first innings shambles. The most you can get out of that is a rain affected draw.

What were we doing in the first innings? Once again some really poor shots and lack of application saw the surrendering of a 400+ lead. You cant be taken seriously when you keep playing test cricket like this. Once again nothing from the experienced hands of Mathews and Tharanga and both looking really poor in a crunch test of a big series. Their shot selection has been novice like too.

On the positive side, Dimuth has probably played two career defining back to back test innings which is great to see and probably cements his spot for the foreseeable future. Credit to the selectors too for sticking with him and a lesson for the arm chair critics (myself included) who didn't think he deserved the spot.

Kusal Mendis another mercurial knock, and they keep coming at a very young age which is probably the most positive sign to look forward to. You don't play knocks like this without getting out a few times so we need to be patient when he gets out a few times. Interestingly, both his last two test hundreds, he could have been out for 0 and 1 if luck was not with him but to his credit and he was a light of hope in what is otherwise two shocking tests for SL.

So on to the final test and I am thinking when was the last time we were white-washed at home in a 3 test series? Surely it's never but I can't be sure. One things for sure, this is bound to be another first in the record book after the third test.

Lets accept that fact that

Lets accept that fact that Sri Lanka is not capable enough to compete at this level. As a fan, I would like to request from the authorities that please stop the BIG USELESS TALKS like"WE are still in a rebuilding face","We got talents but they are needed to be groomed","We will bounce back soon" etc etc.

Please go back to the basics to find the reasons for all these MESS UPS because at the moment;
1.Sri Lanka is one of the WEAKEST test playing nations in the world (Zimbabwe is the only team which is weaker than us).
2.Sri Lanka is the WEAKEST ODI team in the world.
3.t20i format is the only format in which we have shown some courrage.

With this situation, I'm afraid that we don't deserve ANY CHANCE to QUALIFY for 2019 WORLD CUP.

So please go back to the basics to find the reasons for all these MESS UPS.

ODI SQUAD AGAINST INDIA

India already destroyed our proud in test matches. So selectors this time need to think SMART.
Not concerning the money. we need to think out of the box.
Most of the times we going with old school selection. Need to think accordance with today's new approach done by other countries.
So we have to change our strategies. Then,

This must be the ODI 15 Squad against India

1. kusal perera if he is unable add munaweera to the squad
2. Niroshan dickwella
3. Kithruwan vithanage
4. Banuka rajapaksha
5. Kapugedera (captain)
6. Milinda siriwardena (vice-captain)
7. Dasun Shanaka
8. wanidu hasaranga
9. Seekkuge prasanna
10. Vikum sanjaya
11. vishwa fernando
12. charith asalanka
13. Ajantha mendis
14. sadeera samarawikrama
15. dushmantha chameera

Don't add thirimanne, tharanga, chandimal, mathews, dhanushka, dananjaya to the squad. They are not capable players. Waste of time.
If above mentioned all, one or couple of players add to the squad Definitely we will loss every matches.

Kusal perera need to open the batting with dickwella, if kusal perera unable add munaweera to that position, not dhanushka. dhanushka cannot play seaming ball.
Kapugedera must in the middle order. he knows how to play smartly. not like bloking mathews.
kusal mendis is not in good form hence add vithanage and sadeera to the squad.

Humiliated at home

Well folks, its taken along time but the day has finally arrived where we have been totally humiliated at home in a 3-nil whitewash when we didnt even compete and the powers to be continue to search for answers. Now the latest fix is sack Gura. The irony is the problem is the "powers to be" - the total mismanagement of cricket over a long period of time has resulted in a total disaster but the powers to be continue to hang around while changing everyone who can be changed.

We are ..ed!!!

Never since 1982 have things looked this desperate. Even in the 1980's, I recall our then team, winning the odd game to and maintain some sort of semblance at home. But today that is gone! There are many ways to skin this cat but let me try to offer a few two cents.

Out best batter in Anji. The strongest hitter and finisher and he has played atrocious shots all series to get out including the test. Note the shot he played today when the need was to consolidate the situation and look to a strong back 10 overs. What does he do? Lap sweep! I mean what is it with Anji and these lap/reverse sweeps. He is a huge hitter, probably out best big hitter and he never even makes the battle when it matters.

So we think Thiri is the answer and what's more he has two fifties in 3 games. Remember the time England played with Cook, Trott and Bell in the one day game. It goes beyond that - they came to the 1996 WC quarter final opening with Atherton! Yes that is how stupid English tactics were but to their credit they changed. Today they open with Roy and Hales and what do we do? Open with Tharanga (hey why just open with him - lets make him captain) and bat Thiri at #4 - a guy who bats like Cook or Bell or Trott!

The day has come folks and its gone! We are looking at a Windies like scenario if not worse.
