Sri Lanka coach hoping for batsman-friendly pitches for Champions Trophy

Sri Lanka may have often hankered for spin on foreign pitches, and the island may still the home of low-scoring one dayers, but this time around, they would love some nice, flat batting tracks at the Champions Trophy, if English groundstaff don't mind.

WHAT a change!! We used to be kings of spin. We had the best spinners in the world and batsmen who thrived on spin. Now we are weak against pace AND spin. Even the spinners we have do not get a long run because selectors are tube lights....

I like the plan and we should have played him in more games before. We have been shy of playing him but I guess with limited options, this is a good and hopefully improving one.
