I have always respected Malinga to be a straight talking honest man, among manufactured heroes he is true to his roots and himself. I have been stunned by the many so called educated people talk disparagingly for no fault of his but due to a negative image manufactured by the media, mainly Sinhala sports media who have no clue about cricket or its different formats.

This guy is an international hero and unparalleled at this peak. His performances for his teams are legendary. He came from humble beginnings and literally shook the world and reached the top. Instead of marveling at him some us still cant get past his hair! For crying out along man, we are in the 21st century.
