Sanath Jayasooriya was an excellent cricketer but he has political interest partial to the government. he should not be a selector at all as he can't function independently. At a latter stage of his own carrier he tried get political support to remian in the team

I still find this process a joke and rather primative where the Minister needs to select the selectors AND the Minister has to approve the selections the selctors make! I dont understand wht SLC continues in this manner - its nothing short of a sick joke that surely must end.

As for Sanath - I sincerely hope he brings his cricketing abilities to the selection process and NOT his political and/or administrative abilities, which as we already know are poor at best.

Isnt there an requriment from the ICC for non-political interference in cricke administration? How can this be even remotely be met with the Minster so heavily involved in this process?

a good player but not a good selector i guess ,sanath will always chase money and power,he don't have a "dignity" ,so it means that if a player has money or political connection he has a good chance to getting picked to the team ahead of other talented players.
