'No plans to coach the Sri Lankan team' - Muralitharan

Asked how the void left after players like him, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene retired, Muralitharan said, "The vacuum created by us will not be fulfilled so early. It will take more time, the boys are in the learning curve. I hope they cope well fast."

Don't worry MURALI we have many many talented spinners to coach srilankan spinners. See RANGANA HERATH He is doing far and far better than you. Rangana didn't get enough opportunities to play for srilanka Mainly because of U. If he played the number of matches YOU played Rangana would have got more and more wickets than you got. RANGANA HERATH IS THE NUMBER BEST BOWLER EVER PRODUCED BY SRILANKA. there are so many other spinners doing very well without even a very little advice from you. we wish you all the best for the BUSINESSES you are doing don't worry about srilankan coaching we have many many good coaches they are doing very well. we know what happened to recently AUSSIE team with your bowling coaching.

SamJay you are joking right? You think Herath could have taken 800 wickets? Herath struggles to make any impact when he is not playing on spin friendly conditions. Even if he played for 30 years he wont become the greatest bowler in the history of the game like Murali and take 800+ wickets. Sri Lanka were a one man attack and Murali was the leader of that attack and Murali was Sri Lanka's only hope of winning matches for many many years. Have you forgotten or were you born after 2003?

Not only Murali but many former cricket greats of Sri Lanka wont coach the Sri Lankan team as long as Sumathipala is in SLC. Sumahtipala has been attacking our former greats left right and centre!
