Wrong call, really disappointing. only way SL Cricket going to change its corrupt ways is if players are willing to stand up for them. Let them off the hook like this never going to resolve any issues what so ever. All 23 players who refuse to sign the contact would've easily been able get county deals or 20/20 deals around the world, I'm sorry but to me sign these contacts means corrupt idiots who runs the game will continue to do so. RIP SL CRICKET!

I posted this on another thread and I think it belongs here too,

During ICC tournaments, like the World Cup, T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy tournaments, the ICC's event sponsors use images of the players for commercial purposes (eg: Pepsi may use Sangakkara's image in an advertisement). The ICC pays players from all teams a fee since 2003 for the use of their images for commercial purposes. SLC officials want to pocket these payments because they have bankrupted the cricket board. These payments are a big deal for the younger players who don't get picked for the IPL and who don't have lucrative sponsorships. This is why they are upset.

For the sake of Sri Lankan cricket, I hope the issue is resolved. But I won't count on it until the players actually sign the contract.

Not just the younger players Hilal, but so too the support staff. From the 25% after the last WC, the players allocated Rs 1 million to their baggage handler after the last WC. Where on earth will someone like that ever see the colour of that kind of money.
