Sri Lanka batsmen defeated by indiscipline

On the eve of the fixture, Mahela Jayawardene was asked to recall the biggest Test crowd his side had ever played for. "Lord's," he offered, "and maybe Mumbai and Madras. Tomorrow might be a special day." None of those stadia can even seat the number that stepped through turnstiles on Boxing Day..

did Australia batted well ? no ,it's our poor fielding made them looks like they batted well, we were 134/5 in the 38th over ... if we did held those two catches Australia would have been 130/5 . this shows why we loose matches ,isn't it? but what our coaches trying to do is that they trying to improve the batsman techniques and put them under unwanted pressure , rather than improving the team fielding .

yup good point @sdf. The match was even-stevens if SL held on to those catches, looks like SL will be chasing another draw.

To say that Sri Lanka were overawed by the crowd and occasion is pretty stupid. These guys have played in many World Cup finals and the IPL in front of thousands.
