Assuming Malinga does not play:

Upul Tharanga
Niroshan Dickwella
Kusal Mendis
Dhanushka Gunathilaka
Angelo Mathews
Asela Gunaratne
Wanidu Hasaranga
Akila Dananjaya
Lakshan Sandakan
Nuwan Pradeep
Dushmantha Chameera

Chandimal will use the RACISM on Facebook and will get back to playing 11

He has got a friends group on FB to support him

Picked just 6 batsmen with rest of them are bowlers. Bringing back Chameera and forgotten Akila is a good call. Selection of Wanindu is a great move. But I am bit perplexed why loose cannon Niroshan is picked ahead of more dynamic duo Sandun Weerakody or Lahiru Milantha. Niroshan is good T20 player not sure he has the adeptness to be good one day player. To me he plays too many lose shots and doesn't know how to build an innings. I thought we were going to bring our bench strength to see what they bring to the table. We should have rested Tharanga and just play him for the test only. Since Chandimal is not selected so who is going to fill that pivotal role? I personally feel selection committee should have picked someone like Sadeera Samarawickrama or Roshen Silva to be groomed for that role. There is no room for Asitha Fernando or Puspakumara which leads me believe what is our selection committee is thinking???

The best decision to drop chandimal and useless lakmal... Chandimal is such a waste of s

It in ODI/t20 , he only scores against weak opposition and that too with a low st/rate , his innings at lords even had many drop catches and inside edges plus he has showed selfishness in making his very first hundred at lords , all his recent fifties in England in 2016 ended up beniffiting only him and Sri Lanka lost all the matches ...I m not chandimal hater but the truth is he is not a odi player and definitely he can be a good test player like pujara or rahane but not odi.

Nice to see Chameera back in the team and some fresh faces. Also nice to see some of the dead wood being finally dropped - Thisera and Kula are just passengers these days. Surprised Kusal Perera was dropped as I thought he was showing some positive signs.

Chandi had to go and the best example of this is when we had to chase 300+, despite being in the team he was not asked to bat. Also worth noting that Tharanga was not in that side and the top order was packed with stroke players (like the rest of the world) and what do we do in the next series? Drop a stroke maker in Kusal and stick with Tharanga!

Unless otherwise rain interferes we should win this series 5-0. Anything less is a criminal offence.
As others says I am really happy that Chameera is back in the team. He needs to perform well so that Sri Lanka can have a different strategy against India. If we go with spinners against India we will definitely going to lose. But with steamers we might have a chance beating them in both formats. That's what we could have done against Bangladesh.
We have Pradeep, Chameera, Sanjaya and Kumara for lesser extent. Once again I repeat we will going to have a better chance against India if we chose to play with seamers with grassy pitches.
