Wither national cricket policy?

Yes, we have spoken on this subject before, but we feel still the clarion call has not done its job. The Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association – to my mind -- is one of the biggest minus factors on the production side of the mill.

Good article and very pertinent point raised by the author. If you look at the time Rantunge and Aravinda were nearing retirement, guys like Mahela and Sanga were already in the team as 22 year olds and showing plenty of promise. There were already less experienced class players like Marvan and Alnold already in the side. Now with Mahela and Sanga nearing retirement there is not much around.

More to the point is SLC are busy with plundering and infighting while the all important schools cricket has been left to its own devices which is nothing short of a disaster. Imagine the benefits of applying some of the funds to coach the coaches.

Its never too late and now is the time to wake up and do the needful.
