@amilasaman if we lose this series, both selector and coach will be changed... That's how sl cricket works... No long term plans at all..

@N.M.M. Jayasuriya has been extended till next year. His official term ends from tonight. Not sure about the coach. Jayasuriya should have been sacked long time a go. He was not sacked after so many humiliating defeats. Tied series of Bangladesh good enough to sack him forever. Sumathipala and co wants to eat and drink Sri Lanka cricket. Sumathipala wants Jayasuriya, so that he could continue his political selections and keep him in power on the SLC from votes of those political buddies.

@Amilasaman: You are absolutely right when you said "Sumathipala and co wants to eat and drink Sri Lanka cricket. Sumathipala wants Jayasuriya, so that he could continue his political selections and keep him in power on the SLC from votes of those political buddies".

I wan to add a bit more. I feel that Sumathipala also wants Mathews to be the captain in order to carry out his plan. And Malinga is Mathew's buddy.

I predict that NOBODY is going to retire or quit till the end of WC 2019. Who would let go a nice joyful and exciting time in ENGLAND with their WAGS and families?

Sanath might even convince Sumathipala to have a "selector on tour" for the WC 2019 so that he can enjoy Business class travel, Air hostesses and Star Accommodation. These are some of the reasons for people to work for SLC, not to improve cricket. Even some of our players go on tour to "enjoy" more than play the game. Bad intentions result in bad outcomes.

Pls don't retire till we lose test status and became rank # 11. Then you can retire

Sanath is the perfect man for corrupt people like Nishantha and Thilanga. He is a chairman of selectors who will follow orders from politicians and his masters. Sanath is not very smart.
