Both are very poor players who is not suited to represent SL. But this is the chance for you to vote who is the most poor player among these two.

I don't know what the selectors are giving constant opportunities despite failures.

For example Dhananjaya De Silva who is the highest aggregate run scorer in the Aussie test series and also got a century in Zimbabawe dropped after a one poor series against SA.

But these two also had very poor SA series but not only that these two having poor series 90% from 2010

Still can't understand your hate for Chandimal. True he hasn't matched his potential but he's been our best batsman since 2015 in Tests. He scored that 162* against India, did pretty well in NZ, scored our only century in England and grinded out a century against Australia.

@Cricket StatsGuru:

I am not a great Chandimal fan, but don't show your hatred by basedless statistics as your name suggested. Better psudonym would be 'Cricket StatsIdiot'. Do you know Chandimal is the Highest test run scorer for Sri Lanka in 2016. Chandimal had a bad SA series, so does all others. Dimuth is failing from Aussie series(Out to Starc 5 out of 6 times). He doesnot deserve a place in squad at all.

P.S.
Here I am talking about Chandimal in tests and ODIs. Based on the T20 record he should not be an automatic choice at all the T20s. So does Upul Tharanga (worst than Chandimal) and Kapugedara (slightly better than Chandimal).

Chandimal has played some innings that won test matches for Sri Lanka in his test career, such as Durban 2011 (twin fifties), Headingly 2014 (valuable 40 odd runs in the first innings), Galle 2015 (162 vs India), SSC 2016 (130 odd runs vs Australaia after SL were 26 for 5) etc. But can't recall for any of those kind of innings for Dimuth Karunaratne. However Chandimal is not naturally talented as Kusal Mendis or Dhananjaya de Silva.
