None of the above. It's safe to move Dilruwan Perera up and bring in another bowler.

Dilruwan Perera is a good batsman but a shit bowler and it is a one-time thing the innings he played against india in the first test.it's like dimuth karunaratne score a good score every 10-15 match

Asela has played 6 test matches in total, where Dilruwan has played along with him as well.

In these 6 matches Asela has a batting average of 56.87 and Dilruwan has a batting average of 44.62.

As for shitty bowling, Asela has taken 3 wickets in total in 6 matches where as Dilruwan has taken 21 wickets in 6 matches.

I know that Dilruwan does not give us the same confidence as Asela, but according to stats, can you find a better replacement? We can only go with what we have in tank and this is what we have. And right now Dilruwan is almost playing as a specialist bowler. Moving him up will allow us to play one extra specialist bowler. I am sure you know which specialist spinner we have in the squad can play.

My XI against India for the 2nd Test-
1. Upul Tharanga(Left-hand Batsman)
2. Danushka Gunathilaka(All-Rounder)(Left-hand Batsman)(Right-arm off-break)
3. Kusal Mendis(Right-hand Batsman)
4. Dinesh Chandimal(Right-hand Batsman)(Captain)(Wicket-Keeper)
5. Angelo Mathews (Right-hand Batsman)
6. Charith Asalanka (All-Rounder)(Left-hand Batsman)(Right-arm off-break)
7. Niroshan Dickwella(Left-hand Batsman)(Wicket Keeper)
8. Rangana Herath(Slow left-arm orthodox)
9. Lakshan Sandakan (Slow left-arm chinaman)
10. Nuwan Pradeep(Right-Arm Fast-Medium)/Lahiru Kumara (Right-Arm Fast-Medium)
11. Vishwa Fernando (Left-Arm Medium)

Balanced Team-

5 Different Types of Bowling Options and 7 Batsman + Most of them are decent fielders

If Dinesh Chandimal is not available Sadeera Samarawickrama will replace him at the top of the Order since Danushka Gunathilaka did bat at no.3 in the 1st Test against India.

Sri Lanka Cricket only Announced the official squad for the 1st Test, not for the 2nd and 3rd test so they will bring in a replacement for the injured Asela Gunaratne and failed Dimuth Karunaratne. Also, bring in another wicket taking bowler instead of Dilruwan Perera or Malinda Pushpakumara in the squad.

My 15-man Sri Lanka squad for 2nd, 3rd Test against India

Batsman-
1. Upul Tharanga (Left-hand Batsman)
2. Dinesh Chandimal(Right-hand Batsman)(Most Likely available)(Captain)
3. Sadeera Samarawickrama(Right-hand Batsman)
4. Kusal Mendis (Right-hand Batsman)
5. Angelo Mathews(Right-hand Batsman)
6. Niroshan Dickwella(Left-hand Batsman)(Wicket Keeper)
All-Rounder-
1. Charith Asalanka (All-Rounder)(Left-hand Batsman)(Right-Arm Off Spin)
2. Dasun Shanaka (All-Rounder)(Right-hand Batsman)(Right-Arm Fast-Medium)
3. Danushka Gunathilaka (All-Rounder)(Left-hand Batsman)(Right-Arm Off Spin)
Fast-Bowler-
1. Nuwan Pradeep(Right-Arm Fast-Medium)
2. Vimukthi Perera (Left-Arm Fast-Medium)/Vishwa Fernando (Left-Arm Medium)
3. Lahiru Kumara(Right-arm Fast-Medium)
Spin Bowlers-
1. Lakshan Sandakan (Slow left-arm chinaman)
2. Rangana Herath(Slow left-arm orthodox)
3. Malinda Pushpakumara (Slow left-arm orthodox)/Dilruwan Perera(Right-Arm Off Spinner)

Charith Asalanka has been among the Top Wicket Takers and Top Run Scores in recent Tournaments and is just as effective as Asela Gunaratne plus a better Fielder.

Sadeera Samarawickrama has to replace Dimuth Karunaratne who is useless and is likely Chandimal in ODIs where they follow the old tradition where they have low strike rate and do not attack the bowlers and this puts pressure on the other batsman.

Plus Dilruwan Perea is 35 years old and is only picked for the tours at home so I would rather pick Charith Asalanka who is young just as effective as any international player and has been among the Top Wicket Takers and Top Run Scores in recent Tournaments and is just as effective as Asela Gunaratne plus a better Fielder.

Dilruwan Perea average is decent not because he makes the 50s as his not out against India probably increased his average from 20 to 44.44.

Copy pasting some huge piece of text is not having a conversation, let alone an argument. Stick to the topic.

Dhananjaya for Dimuth
Chandi for Asela
Malinda for Dilruwan

Dimuth as again secured his place with 90+ score in 2nd innings. Bring Chandi for Asela , Winidu Hasarnga for Gunathilake who didn't really perform in Test.
