These days, all types of sport is getting to be dangerous and cricket is no exception. We were watching a cricket match recently which was played in the early 70's, and was surprised to see Dennis Lillee bowling to Tony Greig, who was the English captain at the time, and Greig was not wearing a helmet!

I cannot remember whether there were injuries at the time, but now, with the present head gear - protective helmet - batsmen are getting injured. May be, more safer helmets should be introduced. It's impractical to ask bowlers to slow down their bowling.

It is not a pretty sight to see a player thus injured and bleeding on a cricket ground or elsewhere.
