Hail storm forces end to the match

After batting first and scoring 160/6 against West Indies in the semi-final of the ICC World Twenty20 tournament at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on April 3, 2014, Sri Lanka had reduced their opponents from the Caribbean to 80/4 in the 14th over before a freak hail storm, accompanied by heavy winds and lightening, forced the match to be abandoned. Sri Lanka were awarded winners according to the Duckworth and Lewis calculation, and qualified for the final of the T20 World Cup. © AFP
