Where are the Sanga haters who want him dropped from the ODI team? While I am not critical of the younger players as their time will come, Sanga scored more than all of them together in this game. Being critical suppoorters is one thing, being stupid is another. This was a match winning innings in every context. And I take nothing away from Dilshan, another so-called old stager. As they say in SL, "Experience is better than Varaka". That was plain to see at Lord's today.

It was a flat deck. Another overhyped Asian batsman like Sachin Tendulkar who looks ordinary against fast bowlers on green and bouncy tracks. It better suits the ECB to have good wickets for ODIs. It makes commercial sense. Test matches will be a different matter. Your lads will be dismissed for under 200 a few times. Sangakkara and Jayawardene and Dilshan will all fail.

LOL Sanga's pure class and no one can deny it. <3

ODI century at Lord's -- tick. :D

Add another Sri Lankan to the list of Asians (which comprises of only Sri Lankans) that have an ODI 100 at Lord's.

Actually, a lot of people wanted Mahela to be dropped (or Sanga and Mahela to move down the order and/or bat around the youngsters - Chandimal and Thirimanne - to make them more comfortable) and not Sanga.

Sanga should never be dropped in this series. I guess, Mahela will come good, too. Maybe he can do that in the next ODI, as it is, essentially, a final - and Mayya loves finals! :D
