This is most certainly the first time I am seeing such an incident!

Thanks to this awesome family!!

At least this money will be used for the needs of SL cricket and not go into the pockets of the good-for-nothing administrators and ministers.

So in other words they paid 2.5 million just for pictures and autographs, and prolly a few hours with the team..

That is SAD. Honestly, SLC should not accept this. Honestly, I don't care who gives money to whom, but thats why these guys are paid heavily to represent SL, and they obviously go into a tournament hoping to win it.

Honestly, what is 2.5 Million/15 =? 166,666 LKR per head? in USD = ? 1333? Half that team are multi millionaires!..

This is just wrong!

Any Gesture to the cricketing or any sporting fraternity is simply awesomely gracious and should be applauded.

Why give cash prices to Cricket. IF that family really needs to give away they should have given that to many poor families those who do not have to eat, house to live, and also to cancer patients so on. This is ONLY A SHOW OFF.

He should have donated to some poor families.

Money motivates, whilst appreciating the concerned family awarding cash benefits to T20WC winning team/players, they could have donated this to develop young talents from rural areas of SL, and our cricketers are already super rich.. anyways good gesture.
