The Sri Lankan cricket team visited the Victorian Parliament in Melbourne, Australia on February 25, 2015, where they were warmly greeted by MPs. Speaker Telmo Languiller officially greeted the team when they attended a sitting of the Legislative Assembly. The Sri Lankan team were special guests at an official reception with the Speaker, Minister for Sport John Eren, Consul-General of Sri Lanka Upul Pushpakumara, Victorian MPs and representatives of Victoria’s Sri Lankan community. On display at the reception was the ultimate prize – the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup trophy.
