Is this so called yahapalanaya? TNL doesn't even have a proper coverge outside Colombo. Grrr... What's wrong with Channel Eye????????

THE MIZ's picture

@amilasaman: son and co. had a little bit more shame ,bro.. at least they gave a good coverage at times even club matches.. also they paid a large sum for broadcasting rights (black money probably ☺ but SLC got some money ne ?)

On the contrary yahapaalana lot seem to have no shame what so ever... pretty sure bankrupt tnl did not pay a cent ..

TNL is owned by Ranil's or Maithri's brother???

@amila: we could watch matches without a significant interruption . but tnl coverage is very limited. quality of the pictures are worst

@dias: ranil's brother

And once again IC has not published my comment! I did not talk about anything political to disapprove my comment. The poster above me has used 2 politiian names. But then why is that my comment got rejected? Anyway here I am repeating again. TNL doesn't even have a proper coverage outside colombo. It has no proper experience in cricket coverage. MTV/sirasa would have done a reasonable job but TNL??? Seriously??? TNL is the most unsuccessful TV channel in SL television history! And I even doubt if they have any money to bid for a major deal like this. The only reason this could have happened is, due to political influence. Shame on you SLC! IC pls publish!!!

@THE MIZ. Both the rulers following same path. I agree with you. Black money or what ever son & co gave us we what sports loving people wanted. They did everything they could to uplift other sports specifically rugby by having carlton 7s, Serendib cup etc.I have zero interest in any of political views because Sri Lanka is govern by thieves of businessmen for their own benefits. I have DTV and Internet to see the matches but I believe more than 60% does not have that luxury who also want to see these coverage's. Yes current government need someone to tell everything. This is the worst government for sports loving people. On the other hand Dialog will be also benefited from this because low coverage means more new connections for DTV and other cable networks. In my opinion these telecasts should stay with the state media.

One more for the FCID..... could be that the DTVs are funding the TNL bid!.... SLC should have a minimum required coverage as part of the bidder qualification...... feel sorry for the people who are going to miss the coverage.

people hardly watch TNL , there's no way TNL could have brought the broadcasting rights on their own . surely the brother yahapalnaya gov has funded them or somebody else . the yahapalanaya had made big talks about making RTI in SL , maybe it's time for the sports news papers to ask about this deal as well . Agree with you all in here , yahaplanaya do not give a damn about SL sports .
