This is how poor Sri Lanka have been over the past two years

Photo
Zimbabwe have won more T20Is than Sri Lanka since the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 tournament to now. Sri Lanka played 17 T20I matches since their 2014 WT20 win and have won five and lost 12. Sri Lanka failed to qualify for the 2016 WT20 and managed to win just one match (against Afghanistan) in the group stages of the tournament.

Please open your eyes for those who have been shouting "we have plenty of talent". If we have it now would be the time to show it.

Stormy, I was waiting for your comical balderdash and was proven right again.

Let me tell you few things you should consider before posting your pathetic mundane rhetoric. Talent alone doesn't win you matches.

You need to ask Koli, he was just doing ok until he arrived in Australia few years ago. I am not talking about his last tour of Australia. I am talking about when India was in Australia where they played us in the Triangular series. I believe that tour was a defining moment of his career. He never looked back ever since.

It's all comes down to mindset and the team environmental.

Just look at New Zealand, England. They were just average few years ago. Now under good coaching they have become good sides because each member of the team has a defined role to play. Besides they have proper planning.

Which we lack big time. Under previous government with Nisantha in charge ruined our team. As correctly said by Mahela they had two good years to plan. Instead of how they can swindle money from the board and worst of all parachuting a no hoper like Marvan to be in charge of the team, they should have invested in grooming and developing the team which they never did.

WE DO HAVE TALENT, WITH PROPER GUIDANCE WE WILL GET THERE.
Stormy, I know you very well. You play different tunes at different times. I remember you supported Marvan to the hilt. When we were getting trashed you jumped off the bandwagon and supported Jerome Jayaratne.

We all are hurting because of what's happening to our national side. It can only get better. Because I believe we will bounce back. Mark my words even people say we will struggle against England, to the contrary I firmly believe that we will surprise them. Well you need to watch this space.

Stormy your negative thoughts makes it worse. Don't let your doomed mindset ruin this site.

Even in 2007 with malinga, Murali, sanath, sanga, mahela so many experienced players we found it hard to consistently beat teams like Australia. We have never been consistent just very fortunate.
