series bowling figures
Mathews:2 wickets avg - 64
Kumara:11 wickets avg - 26
Pradeep:7 wickets avg - 43

Now we know who the mastermind of this brilliant strategy.

If Ramanayake thinks like that he too should be sacked.

At lease yesterday when Pradeep had taken wickets very effectively pre lunch why did Mathews started with new ball post lunch giving away valuable runs to SA eighth pair. Mathew is selfish & wants to grab some wickets somehow & the best way is with the new ball.
He looked so out of depth in that bowling spell with military pace.
He uses his captaincy power here & SL are doomed.

"I'be never seen someone be so good at almost getting wickets".

I'm paraphrasing here but I think you get the gist. Mathews values his bowling too much, he's better suited for bowling when the strike bowlers couldn't get wickets and we need to dry up runs. Instead, he does the opposite.

Dean Elgar said he found Angelo Mathews the toughest to face during one of the press conferences after the day's play.
