During Pakistan's 2009 tour to Sri Lanka, and now in the current test series, as many as 13 cricket balls have been changed. In most cases after only 4 overs. The Kookaburra cricket balls, which is used commonly in the subcontinent, has never had such serious issues before. It has always held up well in the dry rough outfields and on wickets in Asia.

Sri Lanka Cricket is on the hunt for a new assistant coach to fill Paul Farbrace's position.

"Batting let us down" - Kumar Sangakkara

In an audio interview with BBC Sport Kumar Sangakkara stated that Sri Lanka's batting let them down in the Twenty20 World Cup final at Lords today.

Britain denies visas to Sri Lankan cricketers

The British government is denying visas to Sri Lankan cricketers. British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs David Miliband already blocked an important International Monetary Fund loan to the country because Sri Lanka did not heed the UK's call for a ceasefire against the Tamil Tigers.

The Sri Lankan government has repeatedly denied accusations of large scale civilian casualties and the use of heavy weapons in a government declared No Fire Zone, accusations which led to calls for an immediate ceasefire.
 
Sri Lanka is being dished out the same treatment the UK dished out to Zimbabwe.
