Sri Lanka team have a long time issue to find out true talent. They are always investing for a wrong person. Every time they used a wrong player.

One of the mistakes are they don't bring current inform players, instead they are stuck with so-called talented player

Point is potential players dont use their opportunity and convert their chances to places.

Yes. Players who are given opportunities do not know how to work on their own and improve like what Sanga did...... Selection should not only based on the talent/performance also on their attitude towards personal development.... If that is not there no use the the support team can get them to the water but they cant get them to drink..... I see this trend of entitlement in the new generations in SL that is very bad!!

Fair point and I must say at different points I thought each of these players would be something special and still hold out hope for Kusal Perera. Yes I know having talent is one thing but you also need a head to harness that talent!

Mubarak, Kapugedera & Thirimanne were 1st brought into the Side at the request of their parents [mother in the case of T'manne] all 3 have been average players of limited strokes. Kusal Perera has always been a extreme talent likewise players such as Mathews, Chandimal KusalM, Dickwlla, Weerakkody, Samarawickrema, LahiruMiantha, MinodBhanuka, PriyamaPerera, HashanDumindu, CharithAsalanka, WaniduHasaranga, AviskaFernando,... As for M'rak's place should have been given to IanDaniel the most outstanding bats of YWC2000, similarly Kapugedera's & Thirimanne's should have gone to RoshenS
