I'd rather go for Pradeep, since he is more experience, faster and has led the attack before in the absence of Prasad. Sanjaya can fight it out with Lakmal. I also wouldn't have KJP at 3 anymore, it hasn't worked before and I doubt it will now. Would rather have him coming in at 7 as the wicket keeper and let Chandimal come in at 3/4 depending on where Mendis plays.

Kusal should bat @7 and should keep wickets as chandi just recovers from finger injury.

With Dimuth & Kaushal set to open yet again against the likes of Philander Rabada on SA fast greenish pitches We are almost certain to be 2 down inside 5 6 overs.

Coming to bat on that kind of situation Kusal can not play his natural game.Ofcourse he has had his times against quality bowlers with the new ball.

3.Kusal Mendis
7.Kusal Perera(wk)

Another option is to open with Kusal asking him to have a bash and hit a run a ball 40 odd get an early momentum
