Great Video

Thanks for this.

I watched it first thing Saturday morning.

At first I thought, when there are so many top restaurants in Srilanka, why do these programme makers always go to some back allies, lol. Then I got the point and it was a very interesting angle and really enjoyed the programme.

I must say, I didn't like Barefoot at all, I think it's massively over-rated. I always wanted to go there seeing articles about it in "Travel Lanka" magazine (later found out it was printed by Barefoot, lol). Went there last September, I actually ordered Black Pork, but very disappointing. I will only go there again for "home ware"  shopping, definitely not for their food.

Food was awful, overpriced (for what it was) and the service was pretty bad.

I had lovely Black Pork in NO 18 restaurant  (it's at  No 18 Cambridge Place, Colombo 7) and it was Rs 75/= cheaper than Barefoot Black Pork. Gallery Cafe Black Pork is good too but NO 18 was much better. Despite looking very exclusive, it is actually a very good place with good service and interesting selection of dishes.

(Maybe No 18 restaurant should pay me for this, lol, but I was very impressed with that restaurant)

Anyway, I felt sorry for that Lansi lady who thinks she is white and somewhat superior to "natives" lol. I used to like Lumpraise or lumprice but it's got to be one of the most unhealthiest dishes in Srilanka. So I only have one per trip now.
