But it was a brilliant day of test match cricket on day 5.Srilanka had to cope plenty of criticism for not declaring post tea session on day 4.But things did eventually workout for them as they bowled out the opposition 7 overs to spare. In chase of 412 Zimbabwe made a good start 68-1 showing positive signs of a draw but when Lahiru kumara debutant struck early zimbabwe made another top order failure to slope down to 71-5 in the first session but solitary in the second session as Sean williams & skipper Cremer made a solid partnership as the latter fell to Rangana Herath as his first victim in second innings.the pendulum swung both ways as the hosts lost couple of wickets after tea.But a gritty 100+ balls 9th wicket partnership between skipper Cremer & Mumba gave Zimbabwe some hope of Drawing the match. When things looking dull & lull for Srilanka Herath strikes again to send cremer back to pavillion after maturity knock by the Zimbabwean skipper.Dilruwan perera had the last laugh as he castled Chris Mpofu to seal Srilanka a 225 run victory.
