Unsatisfactory but not a surprise

Consistency has been ONE of many issues SL have and it showed up again yesterday as Bangladesh who has lost their last 8 one dayers put in a polished performance to out run SL in style. Lets face it, they had all bases covered and we were floundering. They had the perfect start in both innings and we were chasing the game and the better teams will always put you away. Was disappointed with the batting unit who looked overly aggressive and out of their depth in chasing a challenging but gettable total.

Well that is the end of the tour and good thing is we didn't lose anything which was a possibility at the beginning of the tour. What's worrying is Bangladesh have plenty to build on and the next tour, they will probably have the same playing eleven as none of them are over 30 and the big three in Tamim, Rahim and Saquib will be even more experienced - worrying proposition when you apply the same logic to SL and look forward.

At the beginning of the tour my comment was we need to put in a proper performance to beat Bangladesh this time and suffice to say we didn't but just did enough to draw the series.
