India have bases covered..

This is as tough as it gets with India no really to bothered with spin and bring with them probably the best spin attack. They have pace covered as well and of course their batting can become monstrous. The weak link in the batting is the opening spot but Dhawan is not exactly a mug.

The plan in Galle is always the same - win the toss and get plenty so winning the toss is the starting point followed by runs! It's time for Anji to have a bumper series after a string of injuries and average series's looking for Anji to deliver. The other guy is the man who is on an eternal battle to keep his spot for the next test. Yep, Upul is in at the beginning of the series and not as replacement or injury cover but this is the opportunity to go big and seal his spot for the foreseeable future. Speaking of playing for a spot, Dimuth is, probably for his career so a huge series for him too.

There are a few other calls to make like 5 or 4 bowlers. Considering how dodgy our batting is, playing 6 batters is almost suicidal but we also need to play to get 20 wickets. Also Danushka V Dhanajaya? There there a Dilruwan V Pushpakumara battle? We can talk about all options but to make an impression in this series we will need to play out of our skins and a total turn-around from the Bangladesh and Zim series. Lets also give some thought to the last #1 team that arrived on these shores and keep the fingers crossed.
