Afghanistan continued their astonishing progress towards qualification for the 2011 World Cup by topping ICC World Cricket League Division 3 in Buenos Aires.

Uganda join them in April’s ICC Cricket World Cup qualifier in South Africa after finishing runners-up in Argentina, edging out Papua New Guinea on net run-rate.

The top four teams from the next qualifying stage will play in the World Cup in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Probably the best thing that's happened to Cricket. The emergence of Ireland and now Afghanistan. Players from these teams need some exposure. I hope the IPL or ICL teams pick them up.

I'm so happy for them! I don think Taliban allows any sports, so I hope the people of Afghanistan know that and dont support Taliban.
