Cricket fever is building in Abbotsford as some of the sport's national leaders came to the Eugene Reimer Middle School on Tuesday to try and get youths into the second most-watched sport in the world.

The visit was part of a program started by Cricket Canada and Scotiabank to teach younger kids the basics, language and rules of a sport that has been often misunderstood in North America.

Vimal Hardat, Abbotsford resident and president of B.C. Cricket, said the launch was a big step forward.
