The Hindu (hindu.com) - I am going to focus on the Mumbai Indians as I believe they have to make a move now or face the harsh reality of not making it to the semis.

Mumbai Indians are in a bind. Their fortunes have swung wildly. From an extreme high to being sixth on the table, they are battling for survival. It doesn’t help that their next two matches are against two of the top sides of the competition: De ccan Chargers and Delhi Daredevils.

The third one is against Royal Challengers Bangalore who thrashed them by nine wickets the other night. Put in the fact that there is just a day’s gap in all but one of their remaining matches and they don’t get two matches in succession at a venue and you get an idea of Mumbai Indians plight.
A problem

If the theory of at least five or six players of a side pulling their weight in clinching a game is true, then Mumbai have a problem. On paper most of them are match-winners. But they aren’t coming good together.

Mumbai would wish that Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath Jayasuriya would fire together more often or their younger lot — Shikhar Dhawan, Abhishek Nayar and Ajiyanke Rahane — would count. It isn’t happening.

After Sanath ,Sachin and

After Sanath ,Sachin and Dumniy get out, its like there's no one to take up the big hitting..
Nayar looks like he just knows sweeping and not hitting. God knows how he 3 sixers in the opening match. Bravo hasnt been that impressive as in the first season.
Sachin and Sanath have to rise up to the ocassion. We seriously miss a batsman like Hayden who can be trusted.

Go MUmbai Indians !! Duniya Hila do... :)

Yeah Nayar just looks like a

Yeah Nayar just looks like a one trick pony. Only the slog sweep. Are there no young indian big hitters in the squad?

Wanted : Hitters !!!!

Thats the prob Hilal... No hitters after Sana and Tendya..
Its a very good squad and most of the Indians support MI more than other team cause of Sachin, but its not living upto the expectation and the hype.

Duminy was a fantastic buy for this season, he's good, hits some but not as dominant as Sana or Sachin. All we lack now is one big hitter at the middle who can change our fortune.
Needed someone atleast like Maharoof who could get some quick runs. Bravo is okay kind, cant expect him to deliver everytime.

We swapped Shikar for Nehra, but in these 7 games he hast proved his worth, otherwise he's a good batsman for Delhi. When i asked abt Shikar to his delhi captain, AAkash Chopra through FB, he showed a lot of confidence in him and told me that Shikar will be a surprise package for MI. But so far that hasnt happened.

if pollock was responsible

if pollock was responsible for the changes yesterday, he has a lot to answer. sana just cracked a 50 match before the last yes and the last match d catch to dismiss him was not supposed to b a catch. his fielding has been super and he's had his moments with the ball, how can they drop d best matching win chance they have along with sachin. the things is, no matter who instigated, they paid a big price & looked zeros from heroes & we hope sana will be back in action for the remaining five.

Yeah! How could Mumbai leave

Yeah! How could Mumbai leave out someone they paid $900,000++ for?

Ambhanis must be feeling generous to pay people huge sums of money to do nothing.

Sanath must play in every game if he is fit!

Hilal I just blogged about it

Hilal I just blogged about it here.

Really stupid move and I think Sachin had the final say in the playing eleven. Does anyone know if Mumbai is now out of the semis?
