NEW DELHI- India's cricket board has played down a report from its physiotherapist that five players carried injuries into the Twenty20 World Cup, saying they did not have serious problems.

Press Trust of India said team physiotherapist Nitin Patel's report informed the board that skipper Mahendra Dhoni and his deputy Virender Sehwag were among the T20 squad players who needed treatment.

Patel also cast doubt upon the fitness of Yuvraj Singh, Rudra Pratap Singh and Zaheer Khan.

"It's a routine report that's given before every tour to assess the fitness of the players," said Rajiv Shukla, chairman of the BCCI's media and finance committee. "Too much importance should not be attached to the report."

Sehwag's shoulder injury forced him to drop out of the tournament.

India, the defending champion, was knocked out at the super eight stage, and skipper Dhoni acknowledged that several members in his squad were not fully fit.

The report comes amid concerns about the lack of rest for India's players, due to the demands of the national team and the Indian Premier League.

Ravindra Jadeja looks a ordinary player.

Can't understand how he finds a place in side. His slow innings hurt badly india. Now they have picked Abishek Nayer. His record also not good. I checked in cricinfo.

He has done well in domestic

He has done well in domestic Ranji format in India.. He looked good in ODI's, more like a test player as usually Ranji produces.

Nayar - I've seen him play only one kind of sweep shot.. Dont know what they saw in him, maybe pressure from Mumbai Lords to push a Mumbai lad.. lol
