Nalanda 116, DSS 168

After spinner Malshan Gunasinghe picked up six wickets to restrict Nalanda College to 116 runs, D.S. Senanayake College top order fared badly losing seven wickets for 69 runs, but their late order chipped in with useful runs to post 168 runs to take a slender first innings lead on the first day of their Inter-School Under-19 match commenced at Ananda Mawatha yesterday.


Nalanda 116 all out in 40.4 overs (Chetan de Silva 42, Malshan Gunasinghe 6/28, Charith Jayampathi 2/33)

DSS 168 all out in 53.2 overs (Charith Satharasinghe 27, Charith Jayampathi 25, Malith Wickramasinghe 49, Malshan Gunasinghe 27 n.o; Sineth Gunawardena 4/19, Suranga Tennakoon 3/27)

Dananjaya scores unbeaten

68 for Asoka

Pramith Dananjaya top scored with an unbeaten 68 runs for Asoka Vidyalaya to post 124 for four wickets after bowling out Rahula College, Katugastota for 188 runs on the first day of their match at Railway Ground yesterday.
