Ricky Ponting has described the Khettarama wicket as "basically rolled mud "

www. srilankannews.net/story.php?rid=43558457&ht=The-Sri-Lankan-gamble-and-the-rain-forced-time-out

What are the implications :

(1) The wicket is sub standard ?

(2) Does this mean that the ICC provided sub standard wickets ?

(3) How does this impact on the players code of conduct ?

(4) Shouldn't Ponting be fined and / or banned ?

Pretty Maligned

What I would say is if all the cricket pitches in the world where the same I would say the world would be a very sad place and cricket would be the most boring game ever. Like Ravana said, I dont think we Lankans complain about their pitches like W.A.C.A and Gabba even though its cement in disguise, so there we go...
