Australian captain Michael Clarke is only 33 and retiring after the World Cup. Dilshan wants to play until 2019 World Cup! All three - Dilshan, Sanga and Mahela - should have quit after 2011. True no?

@Natz Yeah why not... How

@Natz Yeah why not... How about our legndary match winner Tharanaga replacing him? *sarcasm implied*

I think yes Dilshan should retire from T20 cricket and give his slot to a youngster. But for one dayers I think he should stick around till the end of this year. He has become the most reliable batsman in Sl team (After Sanga) Sl team needs his presence for a lottle time until the youngsters like kusal are well groomed.

Ara makkatai clarke

Ara makkatai clarke samugaththa paliyata dilshan samuganne? clarke is an injury prone! Dilshan still one of the fittest members of our team! If misbah can play at 42, Why dilshan can't??? inna tharan serama seniorsla ain karala me gamana yanna ba dias unnahe! If the player has desire to play & if he is performing well, age should not be a barrier!

What's the relevance?

I dont really see the relevance of Clarks retirment to Dilly? Clark has serious back problems and I presume he wants to further his test career while Dilly has alreay given up test cricket so not sure what the relevance of Clarks retirement to Dilly is. However, I do feel Dilly shoul retire as its unreasonable to expect a 40+ player to be successful opening in 2019 in June/July in Eng.
