If PJ can be in the same form

If PJ can be in the same form as he was in England, it will be very handy, but hard to call him safe since performance on this pitch counts for very little.

PJ should be in the XI for 1st test, if he fails there, there are two more tests to try out Chandimal

PJ and Chandi must play

Guys, Sanga to open with Dilshan and Chandi to bat at #3 followed by Mathews, Mahela, Thilan and PJ. The point is I am not sure if Chandi is good enough to keep at test level but he must play. The senior guys must be flexible enough to allow the younger blokes a chance. Mathews is fiddling around with the tail far too often and Chandi is on the bench and its time for the senior guys to stand up and be counted. If they continue to occupy the 4 top spots in the batting order no one will get an opportunity to blossom under their experience.

with Para getting out for '0'

with Para getting out for '0' most of the time, Sanga is virtualy opening the innings :D)

however, don't think SL will be that bold and make a move like that.

Besides, the traditional job of openers is to see off the new ball, and NOT expose the best batters in the side i.e. Sanga/Mahela to the new swinging/seaming ball, ain't it?

And Sanga is a kinda guy who uses 'nightwatchmen'! So don't think he'll go for it :P

Para

Para has been dropped, now Dimuth needs to be given an extended run right through this series as well as next year.
