If we get 300 on this track we have done all right. It is not vicious but it is already showing signs of variable bounce.

Wish they had played Mendis. I don't know what this thinking is trying to outplay South Africa at their own game. Surely any pace we can muster won't make a big difference to those guys who face pace all the time ?

It is spin that can make the difference !

156/6 two quick wickets gone. If only Dilshan roughed it out and scored a 50? This is the same pattern all our recent Test matches have taken; the top order plays too loosely and too extravagantly - especially in the 1st inn - and we lose the match.
