Pick your XI for the 2nd ODI, should Mahela open the batting with Dilshan?

05. Mathews
06. Thirimanne

Mahela must open with Dilshan at any cost, Janith must replace Tharanga.

Another game to lose for SL, Kangaroos go 2-0 up again

Sri Lanka will lose this match and end the ODI series lost with Australia winning 3 -2 or 4-1.A sad and miserable tour down under for the Lankans..SHAME...

Should stick

Should stick with the same batting line-up, if Tharanga is susceptible against the moving ball Mahela is equally or even more susceptible.With Sanga and maybe Chandimal not there, Mahela should bat below, maybe give Thirimanne the no.3 spot.

No more Tharanga pls

I have no confidence on Tharanga, him & Mahela both may have gone to the same cricketing school. If any bowler can deliver out-swinging deliveries, both of them surely give a catch within 12 deliveries. I think we have to find a new proper opener. Someone who can play proper shots. May be Dimuth. This is a waste of the time and opportunity I guess.

@CGI, the bowler doesn't have

@CGI, the bowler doesn't have to bowl a out-swinger to Tharanga to get him out, u just have to bowl a 'gun-barrel' straight delivery out side the off stump :D) he will nick behind for sure!! :D)) still amazed how a batter like dat got 15/14 ODI centuries!!

@ UC_7 - he scored 6

@ UC_7 - he scored 6 centuries in his first 30 matches, free-fall started there after. he gives away 10 runs in the field too.

Tharanga the timer :)

Once he escaped from first 10 - 15 overs then it's really hard to get him out I think. That's how he hold that much of centuries. He is a superb timer. For me he is the best timer in SL team and among best in the world. You may have seen him hit sixers without any effort even in Aus grounds. only problem is the one we pointed out above.

So we cannot keep players with known defects, it'll cost a lot when it comes to the crucial matches.
