Get the feeling Thirimanne is

Get the feeling Thirimanne is a 'Upul Tharanga Type' batsman; who needs some early 'luck' to survive the early edges!

I remember somebody here once

I remember somebody here once telling that all top order batsman playing against new ball get caught behind. Common form of dismissal against new ball. No point blaming tharanga or thiri.

Being an

Being an opener is a tough job and they need to be persisted with a little longer than other batsmen.

@Kasun I pointed it out on IC during the NZ series itself, our standard of Test cricket is really really poor.We might just be above Bangladesh and Zimbabwe and on par with West Indies, given the no. of Tests we are going to play this year and in the future, I dont see that improving any time soon.Even a 1-0 victory over Bangladesh would see us lose points on the Test rankings.
