Can't see them playing three

Can't see them playing three fast bowlers in Melbourne, no? But will they risk playing Randiv? He's been a bit ordinary of late, yeah?

SL XI FOR MCG

Karunaratne
Dilshan
Sangakkara
Jayawardene
Samaraweera
Mathews
P. Jayawardene
Kulasekara/Pradeep
Herath
Eranga
Welegedara

if there is anything at all for spinners Dilshan is decent enough to make use of it and become the second spinner, besides Randiv's form was not good even in Galle. And am pretty sure if the surface is helpful Herath can take care of alone, just needs to stop runs from the other end.
Got to win the toss and bat first tho
Kula didn't do badly at all in Hobart, but looks a bit blunt when the swing is not there.

Randiv's advantage is the

Randiv's advantage is the bounce he gets, He is ideal of Aussie tracks given that he can ball tight lines even if the wickets are not coming. Plus Aussies have 4 left handers, if Clerk won't play it'll become 5. Randiv is the best option.

Pradeep is too unpredictable, it's a huge risk playing him with his lack of exposure.

Randiv is the right man.

SL need

SL need to have a more penetrative attack, Kulasekara looks effective only with the new ball while Herath seems to find it difficult in the 1st innings.Maybe they should play Randiv/Pradeep depending on the conditions because the holding job can be done by Herath/Mathews plus Australia have 4-5 left handers at the top.

But most importantly, our batsman need to put up a good 1st innings score to give the bowlers something to work with.

SL should go with the same

SL should go with the same XI, the problem is with our top order, top 4 should take responsibility and build a platform for the middle order to build on.

@ Asif - Ajantha Mendis is nursing a back injury if i'm not mistaken, SL will not play two spinners anyway in Australia.
