if dilshan got out playing

if dilshan got out playing shots like watson, ponting and clarke did today, some dumb sri lankans will be screamin their heads off. really pathetic hw they adore da players when it comes off and bash da same players when they get out playing their natural game. everyone was bashing so much dilshan after da 1st game, he got out LEAVIN da ball in da 2nd game.
wonder if a australian fans r gonna do da same when they see, hw watson, ponting and clarke got out today???

sad side

well i dont really understand what the selecting committee and t.m. dilshan is thinking of. first, yes t.m. dilshan is not a genuine test cricketer and what makes him to be a captain in sri lanka cricket? is this selecting committee blind or what? he doesnt even know the different of ODI cricket and test cricket, his lack of planning is all clearly shown if u watch the test cricket series with the aussies. tell me if im wrong. i just love the cricket in sri lanka and it should be in much higher standard. so the selecting committee and those coaches, and captain, if u cant do ur job properly just leave it cause there r people who r capable of doing a better job. also if u really cant make decisions of ur own, selecting committee please do a media conference and get ideas from the public, cause they know a lot more than u people and they love their cricket! shame on u people

Cricinfo commentary is in

Cricinfo commentary is in shambles these days. Who are these jokers from India they are paying cheap wages to?

Marsh dismissal:

"Bowled'im! His average falls to 111! A potential nelson has struck. Is this a break in concentration or a natural variation? It's a regulation offbreak from Herath, Marsh defends, but it doesn't turn in as much as he expects it to. The off stumps is left exposed, and pegged back."

1. Herath doesn't bowl 'offbreak'.

2. And it can't be a "regulation off break" because his normal delivery spins back into the left-hander and this one didn't. By his own admission "it doesn't turn in as much".

Cricinfo is not a free, community driven website? It's a huge organisation that makes a lot of money.

Really impressive

Good performance by the bowlers to keep Australia to 316.Especially impressed by Eranga, similar debut to Malinga.4-65 and his wickets were all top order batsmen, so Dilshan and the managements decision seems to have worked.Hope the batsmen do well and put up a huge score.

Agree with you Ryan, not only that instance but also the cricinfo commentators never give credit to the SL bowlers.Comments of 'not a really good delivery' or 'that delivery didnt deserve a wicket' are mentioned when one of the SL bowlers gets a wicket.

Correction

@Ryan:I don't like those lame indian commentators any more than you do , mate:but in this case what he's saying is right. Some people refer to the slow left arm bowlers as off break bowlers too. And the delivery Marsh got out was the regulation slow left arm delivery that did not turn as much as Marsh expected,so he played inside the line and missed it.Also the guy who the commentator was Sidharth Monga,an assistant editor at Cricinfo.

210/4 I hope Dilshan and the next batsman can put on a 50+ partnership here.

Dilshan out for 83 SL leading by a few.

@Villian:

"Some people refer to the slow left arm bowlers as off break bowlers too"

Those people are wrong then. Off-spin is bowled by a right handed bowler, and it spins back into a right-handed batsman. Does an off spinner become a leg break bowler when bowling to left handers? No they dont. So the assistant editor at Cricinfo doesn't seem to have a clue.

What do you boys think? If PJ fails in this match with the bat should he be dropped?
