Team - Sri Lanka

Excellent comeback from Thirimanne. He came after an injury, open the SL inning and ended up being player of the series. He was brilliant today and really played the anchor role of the SL batting line up.
Quick runs made by Kusal in the power play were also important for this run chase. Mahela's contribution was also crucial and nice to see him back in form.
Great pleasure to see that Malinga on the hunt. Other bowlers also supported him especially Lakmal.
Well done Sri Lanka!

Congrats!

Well done to the boys and what a move to play Lakmal ahead of Mendis as there was no turn and Lakmal bowled brilliant over in the first 20 which kept Pak in check and couldnt get away. This for me was a critical factor in ending up with a total of 260 which SL would have take at the toss - it was a 300 wicket. Malinga was brilliant as was Thiri and what a legend Mahela - comes to the party in the final and that too when Sanga fell first ball. Mathews made sound bowling changes and did well to get only 2 spin overs in the first 20 to keep from getting away. Word for Kusal for providing a sound platform and keeping up the rate in the first 10 overs. It was a great team effort and SL were clinical to the core and Pakistan did not get a look - what a perfect way to play a final!
