Why can't the administrators push Sanga

Yes, why can't the administrators push Sanga to return? If Sri Lanka ever needed him, this is the moment. Sanath returned after test retirement on request of the selection committee. That No.4 spot is his and Mathews should follow after that. We've been giving Prasanna an extended run without considering Jeevan Mendis at all. He's doing well in England. Bring him back.

Heard Sanath is going to resign as the Head of selectors. Good call. Please bring back Kapila Wijegunawardene. Also please drop Ranjith 'sort of' Fernando from the team Manager position.

Lakmal never looks threatening, but he never gets dropped. Vikum Sanjaya looks pretty economical. Draft him. We can play Malinga occasionally since he is coming towards the end of his career.

There are so many big strong fast bowlers in the domestic circuit like Vishwa Fernando, Binura Fernando and Kasun Rajitha. Please give them a chance rather than too friendly Lakmal.

Thisara's spot belongs to Dasun Shanaka. With all due respect, I hope this is the last time Thisara played for Sri Lanka. A person who can't use his brain isn't required at International level.

Danushka looks inconsistent, he's a good fielder, but drops a catch every now and again. Good coaches can transform him I guess. In a well balanced squad for a series, there should be a couple of seam bowlers, a good swing bowler [a left arm bowler maybe], a couple of spinners who can run sharply [Chinamen or a cutter bowler or whoever], a leg spinner and 4-5 all rounders [pace bowling and spinning both] to suit any condition. Simple as as that !!! It's not rocket science.

If the selectors have the brains to tick at least most of those boxes, we'll make a balanced team. Instead we have 4-5 wicket keepers in the team. Happens only in Sri Lanka :( We really really miss Dhammika Prasad. He was the man.

Congratulations Pakistan

Congratulations for Pakistan for winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Our selection committee can learn one lesson from this match. We should desperately bring a left arm fast bowler to our side for the India's tour of Sri Lanka in July-August. May be Vishwa Fernando, Binura Fernando, Isuru Udana or Anuk Fernando or Wimukthi Perera.

Pakistan you beauty

Well folks what a disappointing final in terms of a contest but what a performance by the lowest ranked team in the championship - and to think we had the game against Pakistan in the bag! It was good Pakistan day and as all know, no matter how good you are, if it's good Pakistan day, it doesn't matter.

Couple of points to note with Pakistan is they are actually ranked below SL and got in by winning a few games not too long ago. This was a result of playing outdated cricket for too long (should be ringing bells for SL fans). The brought in some new talent and changed the complexion of the team. Fakaar Zaman the opener added some aggression at the top of the order. The in typical Pakistan style they bring a 18 year old leggie who played ahead of Yashi Shah and another seam bowler (man of the series) with less than 10 games playing ahead of their 3 left arm option. When you have real talent, things are much easier!

I would imagine Pakistan would fly past us soon which means we would slip to 8 spot only ahead of Zim and Windies with Afganistan and Ireland looming!
