One-day cricket used to be the money spinner for boards once upon a time. Now, it's only niche one-day cricket that gets some attention. The latest Champions Trophy being a case in point, although I will say that if the venue was not England, where the balance between bat and ball was good, which made for better viewing, and if India had not featured till the end, who knows whether the tournament would have held the interest of the largest cricket market.
