I hear the England vs India Test series is being played for the Pataudi Trophy, would have preferred if they called it the Nawab of Pataudi or at least the The "Tiger" Pataudi trophy ! Goes to show that there is no imagination and romance left in this world.

Lot of hype about how England is going to wrest the no1 ICC ranking off India but I have my doubts. Firstly England have to win 2-0 and I doubt this happening with the Indian batting line up.

I would go a step further and say that I think India will win the series.

Anyone else willing to call it ?

@Ravana:Really....Really....R

@Ravana:Really....Really....Really....Come on mate,aren't you talking about the batting line up that got bundled out for 224 in the warm up match against a county team?(after being 138/8)...Yeah..Yeah...They didn't have Laxman and Sewag,but I doubt they would make much difference.The conditions will be chilly and rainy for the whole series according to reports.That'll help Anderson & Co.I'm predicting 2-0 in England's favor.

In Sharma, Zaheer and

In Sharma, Zaheer and Harbhajan India already have a more potent bowling attack than all of Sri Lanka's bowlers on the Eng Test tour combined. We really struggled to take wickets - India may not have the same problem. So, it just might be a different England on show against India.

Also none of our top order batsman in the Test series looked like they wanted to take the attack to England's bowlers, all of them had survival on their minds - Indians will attack England's bowlers and who knows what that will do to them??

Don't forget, there will be massive Indian support in the stands too. England will have to be brilliant to beat this Indian side.

Express your opinion !

Just express your opinion and back it up with facts, without trying to ridicule what I have to say. Put your money where your mouth is !

Why is this fellow Ravana so

Why is this fellow Ravana so bothered about a name of a trophy and what has that got to do with imagination and romance of the game. Moronic blog post. His real name is Monsoor Ali Khan, there is point to have his nick name "TIGER" on the trophy and neither his princely tittle "NAVAB". Insipid comment.

@Ravana: oooooo....Was that

@Ravana: oooooo....Was that "!" for me.Dude,i did back up what i said with facts.The hapless indian batting line up was humiliated by county bowlers and the so called indian bowling spear head Zaheer Khan was wicketless in the practice match.At the moment in the 1st test match they have failed to utilize the seamer friendly conditions,English have posted 400+.Let's see how your beloved batting line up fares.BTW What's all the fuss with the name,who cares??

@Hilal:"Also none of our top

@Hilal:"Also none of our top order batsman in the Test series looked like they wanted to take the attack to England's bowlers, all of them had survival on their minds"..Really...Are you talking about the series that concluded recently or about some other series..In every single inning they played Dilshan,Sanga,Samaraweera and PJ played their shots.Probably too many shots and that brought their downfall.I'd say they should have tried for survival a bit more,leave the ball outside off etc.You and Ravana both seem to be in love with the over-hyped indians..eew.

No.1 Ranked Team Struggling for Survival

Here we go...On the easiest wicket they would get in this series ,the so-called world's best batting line up scored a mere 286.If the English had held on to the catches,india would have been enforced to follow on.Unless the horrid English weather interferes india will taste their first of many defeats in the tour.BTW how come not many people comment on this forum??? Oh yeah..No body would know the forum is about the ongoing ind-Eng test series because Mr.Ravana decided to rename it and used that name as the topic!!!
