Should Sri Lanka have attacked with Chameera, Vandersay and Herath from the begining?

I was surprised to see Mathews opening bowling himself today when we had such a small total to defend.. As WI spinners bowled really well I believed SL should have started bowling with a spinner with Chameera bowling from the other end.. Getting early wickets was the only way for us to win the match.. Leaking too many runs in the beginning by using slow medium paces released the pressure for WI..  Since Chameera came very late he couldn't even finish his 4 overs.. Did Mathews miss the trick?

Can someone replace Mathews

Can someone replace Mathews with another captain. His body language, thinking, execution of strategy and leadership skills are so poor. He is the worse captain Sri Lanka has ever had.

His Speciality

Matthews has the highest percentage of wickets taken in the first over of an innings, he's a very clever bowler who can sneak in quiet overs quickly. He was just unlucky to get smacked around today, the match was dominated by spin. Its good that they're teaching Chameera to bowl at the death so he can take Malinga's place, but he should have been bowled out today. That last over from Milinda destroyed our chances.

Is Mathews giving 100% when

Is Mathews giving 100% when playing in tournaments involving India because of his IPL connection? Is that the reason for his negative body language?

It is always easy to

It is always easy to critisize after the fact....... Need to look at the possible rationale for each decision.

1. Openning the bowling: As stated he is the highest first over wicket taker.....

2. Chameera not used in PP. if they started hitting him there would have been the end. ALlso we need him in the later overs as we do not have anyone for that job

3. Milinda's 4th over: When you had 3 good overs how can u justify not bowling him

4...........

I would have liked to se an over from Dilshan.....

Hindsight is a great thing.

Mathews opening is nothing new and he can get wickets. I thought bowling Herath that early and then bowling him out was a problem. I would have held him back and tried a few options before going to him.

Feeling bad about Mathews...

I red it somewhere someone telling that feeling bad about him ...I also agree. If you see his body language after the match and in press conference he was like shaking. Come on guys True we all want to win our team but I am sure Mathews doesn't want to lose like everyone else. I was one of those guys who criticize his captaincy all along but you can't win a match from his actions along. Agree his tactics are very poor but lets give him a break. Its all about body language of whole team. After one wicket fall everyone starts to panic.. No self believe.. no fearlessness. All these guys are once a fearless players but continuous failures made them like poeple who suffers from sleep paralysis. They know what's happening and what to do but can't move their hands, legs, and every other body part like the way they want because of fear . They need to wake up somehow and should not allow their fears to come out.

I think if anything Mathews

I think if anything Mathews bowling more would be better. Perhaps he is reluctant due to past injuries so just has the initial spell whilst he is warmed up.
Chameera and Mathews...along with Thisara is enough in terms of pace options in these conditions for such a tournament

we still could have won this

we still could have won this if we did not drop those catches & also those poor decisions did not went against us . so can't say Mathews tactics are completely wrong in here
